RED ROSE COIN CLUB

2011 MEDAL ORDER FORM

The Red Rose Coin Club has produced medals annually since 1966 making this year's medal the 46th in our series. The 2011 medal is available in both bronze and silver versions with the silver version only sold as part of a set with the bronze medal. The 2011 medal commemorates Samuel H. Zahm (1840-1893), a Lancaster native that began his working career following in his father's footsteps as a silversmith and watchmaker. By the time of the Civil War, he was operating a grocery store.

He had produced the only Civil War token that is attributed to Lancaster, PA. Although the token is dated 1861, it was probably struck in 1862. The token indicates that Mr. Zahm was a dealer in coins, tokens and medals and both the obverse and reverse of the Civil War token is reproduced on the obverse of this Red Rose Coin Club medal.

The reverse of the medal has the logo of the Red Rose Coin Club and is dated 2011. Only 100 were struck in .999 Fine Silver and 200 in Bronze.
